Remote Agile Masterclass™
For team members and leaders
Who want to create twice the value in half the time with twice the joy… even when they cannot be collocated
The Remote Agile Masterclass™ is an online Agile workshop
That provides an engaging, rigorous, and practical foundation in remote Agile product development
Relative to other offerings
Unlike in-person courses, the Remote Agile Masterclass:
- Does not require travel or co-location, which may be constrained by budget or the current COVID-19 crisis.
- Was designed from the ground up to meet the needs of remotely distributed teams.
- Provides a solid foundation in Agile—not just Scrum—by also incorporating concepts from Lean, Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming.
- Provides a solid foundation in online collaboration tools by using them throughout the course.
- Exceeds the learning objectives of both the Scrum Alliance® Certified Scrum Product Owner® and Certified Scrum Master® courses.
- As a coach, I’ve found that everyone benefits when they have both Scrum Master and Product Owner training so they can appreciate these roles better and draw from the skills regularly.
- Many Certified Scrum Trainers® will admit that their two-day courses simply cannot satisfy all of the learning objectives for the given course as there simply isn’t enough time.
- Does not provide an industry-recognized certification (at this time), but provides a far-deeper practical understanding (far more important for employability) due to an improved pedagogical technique and additional time spent on each subject
- Is a better value because we do not need to cover the cost of a facility and catering, certification fees, or take days off of work.
- It is anticipated to cost somewhat less per hour of instruction than online Scrum Alliance courses, and much less than in-person Scrum Alliance courses.
- Includes 30-60 minutes of homework before some modules to reinforce learning.
Unlike self-paced video-based courses or books, the Remote Agile Masterclass:
- Offers hands-on learning exercises with real-time feedback.
- Is Ultimately far more effective due to in-class concrete practice.
- Allows students to ask questions and get practical advice.
Unlike university classes, the Remote Agile Masterclass:
- Offers a slightly accelerated program versus a semester-schedule. A typical college course is 3 hours per week for 15-16 weeks. This course is expected to be completed in three 1-½ hours per week for 10 weeks.
- Is delivered by a current practitioner—not an academic—so it is more grounded in the practical reality.
